Meet Our Lawyer - Rahima Shariff
Rahima Shariff obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the Tumaini University in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She ranked overall top student with Upper Second Division earning the highest GPA.
After moving to Canada in 2014, Rahima pursued to complete her Canadian lawyer’s equivalency examination while working as a family law Legal Assistant under a well experienced Divorce and Family Law lawyer. Upon successful completion of the National Committee on Accreditation examination, Rahima completed her composite articles with Calgary based law firms which offered her vast exposure in family law, personal injury and wills and estate administration. Rahima was called to Alberta Bar in 2017.
Rahima has a passion for family law. Since being called to the Bar, Rahima has practiced in the area of family law. Rahima worked as an associate with a family law firm for 2 years before starting her own practice as Shariff Family Law in 2019.
Prior to moving to Canada, Rahima worked as a Head of Human Resources in Tanzania. Working as a Head of Human Resources lent Rahima a strong foundation in understanding human feelings and emotions which she uses to better understand while working with distressed clients in the family law matters.
